           Who We Are
Our Motto :
Green Lakes Baptist Church will be a burning beacon filling Hampton Roads with the light of Jesus and from here, the world.

Our Promise:
We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by reaching all people with the gospel and growing them ever closer to Jesus.  We will lift Jesus up in heartfelt worship, enjoy each other in loving fellowship, urge one another closer to Christ through discipleship, minister to those in need, and take the gospel of Christ to all those who do not know Him.

Luke 13:18-20 The Hidden, Growing Kingdom of God
Posted on Saturday, August 23 @ 00:00:00 CDT by PastorDadmin

Daily Bible Study pastord writes "Jesus describes the kingdom of God as a mustard plant.  The seed is very tiny yet the plant becomes almost as large as a tree.  Birds nest in a plant that came from one of the tiniest of seeds.  In the same way though the kingdom may have small beginnings it has a great future.  Though we who serve Him may be unimpressive, what we will become in serving Him is beyond knowing.  In the same way the kingdom of God spreads through all the world.  Even as its growth cannot be stopped its spread cannot be halted.  All over this world there are regimes that seek to oppress and eliminate Christianity from their borders.  None are successful.  Under the worst of oppression the church grows.  There are countries that forbid the entry of any missionary and forbid anyone within the country to change their religion.  Nevertheless the gospel gets in, and men and women put their trust in Jesus, abandoning the religion of their forefathers.  Jesus reminds us that no matter how difficult the situation seems His word will prevail.
Without Wax,
Dr. Dwight
